This book is an excellent, evidence-based psychopharmacology text. Previous rating has suggested the book is tainted due to ethical considerations, which is utter nonsense. This is the best text for the subject out there. If you are concerned about validity, the references are listed in the text for you to follow and read. unlike other psychopharm texts, it is not based primarily upon opinion and conjecture. Highly recommended.

This is an extremely comprehensive text written by many experts in their respective fields. It is an excellent reference that it is thoroughly referenced. The main drawback is that the writing is sometimes poor and there are not enough diagrams. It can be quite dense reading and is not suitable for beginners.

Bought for my psychiatrist husband who says the textbook is amazingly thorough, up to date and complete.
